I love when I am inspired to paint something, there is always a story; a reason that goes beyond liking, no loving something that has captured my attention. Emotion runs deep, and I look for the symbolism or meaning behind my choices. As I weave the image that is in my mind with what image I have before me the visual story takes shape.

I am a Colorado mixed media painter. My work reflects my sincere love of color, pattern and sometimes texture.  The materials I use include acid free papers, handmade paper, acrylic and oil paints, modeling paste and whatever I may grab. I also like to make my own stamps which I include in some of my work.  I like to find ways to describe my subject matter that are fresh and interesting.  I paint mostly on panel and canvas.

I often mix abstract backgrounds with realistic subject matter trying to find that perfect blend of the recognizable with the viewers interpretation of the rest.
